Lincoln Parish voters turned out in record numbers to cast early ballots for the Nov. 3 election. At the close of early voting Tuesday, 8,971 voters had voted, Registrar of Voters Sharon Parnell said.
The PEACHtober event held Friday and Saturday in place of the COVID-canceled 2020 Louisiana Peach Fest drew a steady crowd to downtown Lincoln Parish throughout the twoday celebration.
His legend began on the football fields of Lincoln and Ruston High Schools before continuing at Louisiana Tech and the NFL, so it was only fitting his final sendoff was held at Joe Aillet Stadium.
